How far would you go to protect your family?

Jade never set out to become a thief, especially not in the Middle East, but breaking into her husband Brett’s office is the only way to get information about a missing miner.

After the miner turns up dead at the copper mine where Brett works, a letter leaked to the press implicates him in the crime. In search of the truth, Jade uncovers a web of infidelity, industrial espionage and royal intrigue. But can she keep her husband out of jail and save him from the death penalty?

A high-stakes mystery, THE DESERT THIEF is the fifth book in the Jade Riley Mysteries series by Andrea Barton.

Praise for The Desert Thief:
“Compelling, pacy, and the setting is evocatively portrayed.”
Nadine Davidoff, Editor

“LOVE the setting. Straight into action. Husband and wife duo in intriguing mystery.”
Bella Ellwood-Clayton, author of The Tradwife’s Lie

“Jade’s wonderful sense of humour, determination and compassion adds another layer to this murder mystery. The contrast with Brett’s perspective allows greater understanding of life and work in a Middle Eastern country within and beyond the expat community.”
Sue Anderson, Editorial Head New Authors Collective

“This book has it all … mystery, suspense, exotic location, plot twists and a heart-stopping ending. A winner!”
Sarah Hawthorn, author The Dilemma

“The pacing is excellent, the characters well rounded and the twisty plot kept me riveted and guessing. These books keep getting better and better.”
Sarah Bourne, author Exile

“Brilliant opening. Great scene setting. Excellent ending.”
Lisa Heidke (Darcy), author of The Pact and Lily’s Little Flower Shop

“A gripping, fast-paced story full of risk and intrigue in another fascinating part of the world. The setting was brilliantly described and brought to life with multisensory description. A great cast of characters, a clever plot with twists and turns, and a heart stopping ending!”
Diane Clarke, author of The Photograph

“Thrilling pace, narrative tension, vivid character descriptions, a setting full of colourful detail, twists galore and great humour.”
Cassie Lane, author of How to Dress a Dummy.
