Perth, Western Australia, 1981. Destiny Purcell controlled half the city's vice trade. She was untouchable—until someone put three bullets in her head on a golf course in the pouring rain.

Detective Barry Crawford and his partner Dale Robertson catch the case, but in a city where the Purple Circle crime syndicate controls everything, where motorcycle clubs enforce for the powerful, and where corruption runs deeper than the Swan River, nothing is ever straightforward.

The Purple Circle wants their cut. The cops want answers. And everyone has secrets worth killing for.

BANG! is Australian noir at its darkest—a story of corrupt cops, organized crime, and moral compromise set against the backdrop of 1981 Perth.

Inspired by true events from Australia's criminal underworld, this is the first book in the Bloodline Series. Some events occurred. Some were imagined. The author leaves it to you to determine which is which.

Content Warning: Contains violence, strong language, adult themes, and references to sex work. Intended for mature readers (18+).

About The Author

Taliyah Stone writes about the darkness most people pretend doesn't exist.

For her, exploring power, violence, and survival in Australia's criminal underworld isn't research—it's memory. She writes in the dark so others can find the light.

For safety reasons, the author maintains anonymity while documenting Australia's shadows through the Bloodline Series. The trilogy follows three generations affected by one crime family's secrets: BANG! (January 2026), DIRTY! (July 2026), and TAKEN! (late 2026).

Taliyah Stone is a pen name.
