About The Author

David Schembri is an *award-nominated author, artist, comic creator and poet from Australia. He is the author of Unearthly Fables (The Writing Show, 2013), *Beneath The Ferny Tree (Close-Up Books, 2018), Careful With That Axe, and the comics, Splitting Sides: Tales of Humorous Horror #1, *#2 and #3, Crowman #1 and Val the Vampire #1.
His first novella is forthcoming by Odyssey Books.
David’s short fiction has been published by Chaosium Inc, Horror World Press, Things in the Well, Black Beacon Books and Midnight Echo.
His poetry has appeared in several issues of the Hippocampus Press review, Spectral Realms, edited by S.T. Joshi. His poem, Shadow and Fire (published in the Winter issue of Spectral Realms) had made Ellen Datlaow’s longlist for best horror of 2022.
