What if your period has been trying to tell you something—and just one week a month could change everything?
For many women, cycle problems like exhaustion, heaviness, mood swings, bloating, cravings, and pain are treated as inconveniences to push through. But what if these symptoms aren't simply problems to manage? What if they're messages from your body, asking you to pay attention?
Your cycle can reveal more than what's happening physically. It can show you where your life has become disconnected from your body's natural rhythms. You may have learned to keep going no matter how tired you feel. Your worth may feel tied to your productivity. Rest may feel like laziness. Slowing down may make you uncomfortable—or even feel unsafe in your body. So you stay busy, keep achieving, and keep moving.
Over time, that constant pressure can leave you feeling exhausted and disconnected from yourself. Your body may be asking for rest, but you've learned to override the signals. Eventually, your cycle can become the loudest voice in the room.
Flow Well – Be Well offers a different way forward.
Drawing on the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine alongside modern science, this book invites you to see your menstrual cycle not as something to fight against, but as a powerful guide. Instead of expecting your body to perform at the same level every day, you'll learn to work with its changing energy, needs, and rhythms.
You'll discover why certain times of your cycle may naturally call for action, while others invite reflection, restoration, and rest. You'll learn how to recognise the signals your body is sending and make practical changes that support rather than drain you.
The book also introduces simple, powerful tools to help regulate your nervous system and create a greater sense of safety within your body. Because sometimes slowing down isn't simply a matter of choosing to rest. Your body needs to believe that it is safe to stop.
When you begin listening instead of overriding, something can shift. Rest can become restorative rather than something you feel guilty about.

About The Author

Robyn Llewellyn believes your period isn't a problem to be managed. It's a monthly guide to your overall health and wellbeing.
A holistic kinesiologist trained in traditional Chinese and mind-body medicine, Robyn specialises in helping women understand the deeper reasons why slowing down feels so hard. Her work is built on one universal truth: healing always begins with finding safety in the body. For many women, without nervous system support, slowing down remains out of reach.
These insights are drawn from three distinct worlds: a 20-year corporate career, including as marketing director for a leading period care brand; over a decade of study in wellness and healing; and doing both of these while raising three young kids.In her healing space, she rejects the idea that women simply need to "do less" or "manage stress" to heal, offering practical, sustainable solutions that show women healing doesn't have to be complicated.
When she's not juggling life, work, and deep-breathing through the 'mum's taxi run', Robyn practises what she preaches by slowing down, baking sourdough, and walking her two border collies, preferably barefoot on grass. She lives in Sydney with her husband and three children.
