A fond trip down memory lane or a tale of regret? One thing's for sure: it certainly isn’t advice.
Chronicling Pete Stevenson's journey from a vodka-chugging teenage pimple to dirty miner and Wall Street banker, Fortune Favours the Drunk is a no-holds-barred confessional recounting the absurdities of a life shaped by Aussie drinking culture.
Raw and unfiltered, Pete offers a laugh-out-loud recount of the ups, downs and horizontals drinking has wrought over two decades, through a drunken daisy-chain of farcical events associated with memories of alcoholic beverages.
He's woken up on a rooftop in Tokyo, lived the life of a street rat in Vegas, nearly died from embarrassment in a Parisian sex lair and worked for a Madman in Beijing. Along the way he's also executed billion dollar trades, survived a blast in an underground mine, had his music collection swiped by a homeless woman and partied with coke-fuelled investment bankers around the world.
So dust off the beer bong, grab your favourite poison and prep the hangover kit, because it’s time to get ready for a hell of a night in.
