Hollow Peak was a turning point for me as a writer. It marked the first time I truly immersed myself in the complexities of the human condition—crafting a gritty, emotionally charged story while still honouring the structure and pace of a compelling crime thriller.
After completing Altered Sense and Deadly Sense, I felt driven to push myself further—to create a novel with deeper emotional weight and a protagonist who is not only flawed, but profoundly human.
Writing Hollow Peak was a challenge. Its themes of helplessness, loss, and grief were often difficult to explore. But these darker moments are tempered by threads of friendship, trust, and sharp investigative skills.
This book took years to complete, and I’m incredibly proud of what it became—especially the journey of Henry Hobbs. He’s a character shaped by loss, but guided by a brilliant mind and an unshakable moral compass.
Venturing into historical fiction brought its own set of challenges. Countless hours of research were poured into capturing the period accurately and authentically.
At its core, Hollow Peak is still a crime thriller—and my passion for suspense is very much alive in its pages. I hope this story grips you, moves you, and keeps you guessing until the very end.

About The Author

Born and raised in Sydney, I have always had a deep passion for writing.
While pursuing my studies and a full-time career, I put my ideas for a novel on hold. It wasn’t until many years later that I finally found the confidence to bring one of those ideas to life, resulting in my debut novel, Altered Sense.
Throughout the writing process, my appreciation for literature deepened, recognising it as not just a creative outlet but an intricate art form.
With a love for crafting thrilling narratives, I aim to create fast-paced stories that captivate readers with suspense, intrigue, and excitement. I hope my work delivers the edge-of-your-seat experience I strive for.
I still live in Sydney with my wife and son. When I’m not writing, I spend as much time as possible with my family—and, of course, reading.
