Ossie meets his best mate Mack on the first day of school.
They grow up together, inseperable at school and around the local football club where Ossie's father is the star. We follow their journey as they start playing football in the under tens and then after the tragic loss of Ossie's father.
Ossie develops into a junior star alongside Mack who is a very good player as well. Mack watches his mate step up to provide for his family and then is with Ossie when disaster strikes and Ossie is taken away from the game he loves. The opportunity to make it at the top level is also taken away from Ossie because of this one mistake.
Mack sticks by his mate through the lean years and brings Ossie's tale to life as the narrator. When Ossie returns home Mack is there with him the whole way.
Kicking Goals is a tale of mateship and perseverence. Ossie is loved by all around him and works hard to be the best person that he can be.
We discover that talent doesn't disappear as Ossie slowly puts his life back together with his best mate alongside for the ride.
