When the end came for women they fell, as corn to a scythe. 

Only a handful could be saved; those with exceptional intelligence, strength and creativity. 

Sent to the stars, they hid, as darkness descended upon the Earth, knowing that one day that darkness would reach for them – and when it did, it would be worse than the scythe. 

For it sought not their intelligence, their strength, or their creativity - but their bodies.
