About The Author

Leisa Fail lives on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, where her love of stories and writing has always been matched by her lifelong passion for horses.
She studied Creative Writing at Griffith University, but it was her brumby, Storm, who truly inspired her storytelling journey. Growing up, Leisa’s family couldn’t afford a horse of their own, but riding lessons with her cousins’ horses sparked a passion that never left her. In her late twenties, she finally purchased her first horse—Storm, a brumby with less-than-perfect conformation but a heart she couldn’t resist.
Together, they competed in endurance riding for many years. When Storm retired in 2019, Leisa returned to writing, channeling their adventures into The Adventures of Stormy Normy series.
Through her stories, she shares the joy, resilience, and lessons learned from a life spent with horses.
