Charu is a business leader, mindset coach, strategist, writer, and lifelong student of happiness.

Born in India, she immigrated to Australia, which she now calls home. Her early career was marked by corporate success, building a life that, on paper, looked accomplished and stable. Yet beneath the surface, she began to question a deeper truth, why did she not feel happy despite having achieved so much of what she once thought she wanted?

This question became the turning point of her life.

During her honeymoon, Charu fell critically ill with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare and life-threatening neurological condition. She was admitted to ICU, where she lost control of her body and faced a profound confrontation with her own mortality. In that vulnerable state, everything she had built and believed in was stripped back to its essentials. When she eventually woke and began her recovery, she was met not only with physical healing but a powerful emotional awakening.

She realised that the life she had fought so hard to survive for was not the life she truly wanted to live.

That realisation became the catalyst for change. Charu made the courageous decision to leave her marriage and step away from the version of life that no longer aligned with her inner truth. What followed was not an easy reinvention, but a deeply intentional journey of rediscovery, one that required resilience, honesty, and the willingness to sit with discomfort rather than avoid it.

Through this process, Charu began to explore what it truly means to be happy. Not happiness as a fleeting emotion or external achievement, but as something far more grounded and sustainable. She immersed herself in positive psychology, neuroscience, coaching, and reflective practice, while also drawing deeply from her own lived experience of loss, divorce, healing, and rebuilding.

From this journey, The Happiness Pathway was born, a self-help guide to happiness designed to support others who may also find themselves successful on the outside but quietly disconnected within.

Charu’s philosophy is simple yet profound: happiness is not a destination to be reached after achieving certain milestones. It is a daily practice, shaped through self-awareness, boundaries, kindness, forgiveness, and intentional choices. It is built in the small, often invisible moments of life, the morning routines, the conversations we choose to have, the thoughts we allow to stay, and the ways we respond to ourselves when life feels difficult.

Her work blends storytelling with insights from psychology, neuroscience, and coaching to make these ideas both accessible and practical. She speaks to people who are functioning, achieving, and succeeding externally, yet are quietly yearning for something more meaningful, peace, alignment, and authenticity.

Throughout The Happiness Pathway, Charu shares parts of her own story not as a perfect example, but as an honest reflection of what it means to fall, to learn, and to begin again. She writes for anyone who has ever felt lost in their own life, offering not prescriptions but possibilities.

Her message is clear: happiness is not something you find at the end of a journey. It is something you create along the way. It is built, moment by moment, through conscious choice.

At its core, Charu’s work is an invitation to pause, reflect, and return to yourself. To question what you have been taught to value. To soften the pressure of perfection. And to begin building a life that feels not just successful but deeply, authentically yours.
