With the arrival of spring, a field of flowers slowly comes alive with the fluttering of hundreds of newly birthed butterflies, each showing off their dazzlingly coloured wings.
While dancing between the petals and hiding beneath the canopy of petals, one butterfly finds another still encased in his chrysalis, too scared to emerge for fear he will be different.
The Shy Little Butterfly was made in collaboration with three artists who supplied the illustrations.
$1 from the sale of each copy will go to The Butterfly Foundation to help support those with eating disorders and body-image issues by providing free phone and web based services.

About The Author
Lillian Reid is a Perth-based author originally hailing from Australind, where she spent a lot of time daydreaming and writing stories instead of paying attention in school.
After graduating from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor in Writing, she went on to publish several books under the pen name Livian Grey before trying her hand at a picture book.
When she’s not writing, she’s binging YouTube videos, reading Anne Rice novels and playing Stardew Valley.
