A body in the library … A killer on the loose … An unlikely group of sleuths …
Only Murders in the Building meets The Thursday Murder Club in this new, hilarious take on cosy crime.
The scene would be idyllic, were I not coming to these beautiful gardens to spy on a potential murderer. But surely killers rendezvous in dark alleys, behind a skip bin, with a few broken bottles and a mangled doll strewn across the cobbles. They don’t sojourn to one of Melbourne’s majestic parks in front of a whimsical tourist attraction.
When exhausted new mother Frida attends Baby Rhyme Time at the local library, she feels a sense of purpose that has been lacking in her anxious, apartment-bound, sleep-deprived life. But at the end of the session a piercing scream is heard, followed by the thump of a body, and the library becomes a crime scene.
Frida and another parent, along with some other concerned locals, find themselves investigating the murder and form an unlikely group of sleuths.
Between gossip and cups of magic at their local cafe, they are too busy having fun to realise how close they are to danger …
